| 31/05/04 Bhai sahib Gurtej Singh ji, It looks like you are one of those Sikhs that is to be found among every Sikh sangat all over the world,who is only interested in arguments over every and each issue. It is amusing first you did not understand what Sr Gurcharan Singh Kulim wrote about the need to be fore- sighted and opportunist to resolving the Sikh issues in the best possible and practical manner available presently. It is true that the best and effective way forward would be for the Sikh party to join the government,from where they could keep the issues of the anti Sikh riots alive and noticable very effectively.They could also be in a position to challenge the appointments of individuals alleged to be involved and make that very uncomfortable for both the person and the government.They could keep the flames of embarrasment for the central government alight very persuasively. If they stayed on the outside ..like "main na manoo..".then anyone can easily brush them off as disappointed opposition propoganda. Dr Manmohan Singh is a professional beauracrat,in whom Mrs S.Gandhi has great faith,and she would be more than willing to listen to him ,were he to suggest to her to resolve the issues. But the Sikhs need to assure him,that they value him as a Sikh ,and I am sure he will go far to help resolve most issues. Mr Gurcharan Singh Kulim only suggested and went further from another angle upon what two previous writers had already written. So what was your point on launching a personal attack upon him in the first place,by suggesting that the thread was not continous.Looks like you already had a personal issue to settle with Mr GS Kulim in the first place.I do not see anything constructive in your response to him. It took Sr Kahlon to explain to you the intricates that you obviously could not understand or were playing stupid to understand. Amazingly after that your tune changed very quickly,but,you still mischeviously claimed that had it been written clealy in the first place, Mr Kahlon would have had no reason to write again. Let me reverse that to you,...had you in the first place had the ability and wide mentality to understand what hundereds of others understood from Mr Gurcharan Singh,Mr Kahlon would have had no reason to explain to you.Have you thought of that? | 28/05/04 I beleive the appointment of an unelected Dr Manmohan Singh to the highest seat in India,is a slap in the face of those who set out to divide the nation and the communities.This ploy of the century by Mrs Sonia Gandhi could never be repeated by any one. But for all its worth, I hope that it is not a superficial gesture....Khalistan maang the, ab to sara hindustan ka malik ek Sikh hai! I would ask the Akali leadership in the Punjab to seriously reconsider their strategies and embark upon a road to building the lost honour of the Panth within the secular nation of India.They were equal partners in the blame for the destruction that was brought upon the Sikhs and India in the 80s. After all that, a new opportunity has arisen to put the wrong right for once. Shouting about the alleged culprits of 84 carnage would be MORE effective if the Akalis were within the government rather than be scap goated by others to scream from the outside. The BJP has given the Punjab nothing in the last five years.The Congress holds the promise for the next five years, exploit that avenues ,esspecially so when the PM is a Sikh.Make his task easier to govern the nation ,so that when the next generation of Indians look back,they will know as usual, it was the SIKH PM from the 2.5 % community,who brought prosperity and honour to the nation. It is a really long traversed journey from a mud house (Gah, Peshaver) to P.M.'s office, New Delhi. He deserve this honour. I wish him the very best of luck. I feel my country is in safe hands now. Before 1947, 'SHAHEED' had a lot of dreams about 'AJJAD BHARAT' unfortunatly they never came true. Dreams about ordinary people, about poor people. When I looked back home 'til now, I always worried for my motherland, but today I feel relaxed. I know he has all those qualities to improve economic conditions. As a Sikh, as a Punjabi, I feel proud of him. HE DESERVED THIS HONOUR. I am personally very happy because NOW THE WHOLE WORLD 'LL KNOW THAT ALL TURBAN WEARING PEOPLE DO NOT BELONG TO AL-KAIDA, (MISTAKEN IDENTITY). I hope that you can do something for the TURBAN problem in France (as a Sikh or as a P.M.of India). | 25/05/04 With Due Respect, It is very astonished that Akalis and other Sikhs are joyfully welcoming the Congress’ supremo Mrs. Sonia Gandhi's decision of making Dr. Manmohan Singh as the Prime Maninster of India. How easily they forgot President Zail Singh's deeds. How indian army attacked Golden Tample in spite of his being the President of India. Actually all those leaders and Sikhs did not learn anything from past. During the current elections Dr. Manmohan Singh when asked about the Jagdish Taytler's and other contesting the election as congress party candidate(involved in 1984 riots against Sikhs), he replied, "They have been exonerated from court and he will propagate in favor of them if asked to do so". He did not resign from the post of Governor of RBI even after the 1984 riots. A true Sikh always want the welfare of all regardless of any religion color or cast but today every Sikh want his/her own well-being. This is the reason of Akali's being a regional political party. How can Dr. Manmohan Singh go against the wishes of actual Prome Manister of India Mrs. Sonia Gandhi. The day he goes against the wishes of his "Madam ji" he will be down and out. Earlier Zail singh called Rajiv Gandhi as Mr. Clean and we witnessed the biggest scam in the Indian history during his regime. There is a Sikh Chief Minister In Punjab and his wife has won the election and she did
not get anything in the ministry of Dr. Manmohan Singh. There is not even a single person
